2 Reasons Why You Want To Go To “The Mind Gym”

And advice so you can DO, BE, CREATE it to impact your world

The human brain has distinct rational and emotional circuits. When making decisions, we don’t always know which one is in control. The ability to analyze this fact has evolved as a quantitative rational science. Mental fitness means going to the “mind gym” to enhance your mental health.

“The act of getting strong doesn’t start in the gym. It starts in your head” ~ Lisbeth Darsh

Research in neuroscience and behavioral psychology has revolutionized our understanding of human behavior. This cutting-edge research has changed the way we think about ourselves. The ability to analyze this fact has evolved as a quantitative, rational, science which includes advancements to the practices for behavioral discipline data in psychology, education and social science.

I came to know this process as personal power. In the early 1990’s, I decided the only way I was going to get my life on a solid, secure, foundation was to get the help I needed to increase my self-worth. If not, I would become a self-fulfilled prophecy of my dad, who said repeatedly to me, “You’re going nowhere fast kid.” And so, I did. And fast. I left home at 17 and have never looked back. But, thank God, there was a difference, I knew I was guided.

“And everyone who hears these words of mine and does not do them will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand.” Mathew 7: 26

It’s been said, each journey begins with a single step. However, my steps were fast. I went running into the future to get away from my past. I knew, after many falls, I needed help. I needed to learn to slow down and walk my path. If not, the hard falls of life lessons would keep coming. It was then, with much introspection, I decided to become a new version of myself.

My Secret . . .

The TWO Principles That Guide Your Mental Fitness

1. You must value yourself

2. You need to know that you can change

Over the last three decades I have become passionate about learning and growing. Countless books, tapes and seminars, I embraced, along with dozens of mentors, teachers, friends and foe, all helped me understand what had caused me to struggle. My real breakthroughs started when I realized being a hard-driven, honest worker with many wins and accomplishments only came because I was on a “prove it” mission to my father.

As I experienced more breakthroughs I turned my lessons into gifts. The more I valued myself – the more I valued others. I knew I could change, and I did. “Always learning, always growing, – or you’re dead alive,” became my mantra and still is to this day.

Now I keep it going by going to the “mind gym”. I keep myself on track, in check, and in a state of wellness by feeding and exercising my mind first. I am rock solid!

Remember, when you were little and someone told you not to put yourself first? They lied! Don’t ever forget that!

Stayed Tuned!

Keep it going!

Respectfully, Ida
